Our Philosophy
At Educarte, we believe it to be a privilege to know that we are a part of making a difference inchildren’s lives. We take our job to heart, by helping our students feel comfortable, happy and ready to learn. We strive to reach each of our students in a special way by caring for them as individuals.
At Educarte, we know that every subject is vital to student development. It is through a well rounded curriculum accompanied with adequate lessons that students get the chance to excel in all different areas of study. We meet each students learning needs by incorporating a variety of innovative techniques. Since we are a bilingual school, we know that it is important to keep students engaged in tactile and kinesthetic activities to reinforce concepts that have been taught. This allows students to stay involved and to continue learning on their own. To build meaning in a lesson, we help students make connections between their lives and what they are learning. Students then get the chance to utilize their skills independently and to recognize the importance in what they have learned.
Along with caring about our students learning, we also take a significant interest in assuring that all students are cared for emotionally. Because we are a school with a wide variety of cultures, we make a special point to value those differences and become a model for acceptance and appreciation. At Educarte, it is not unusual to see children learning from each other at recess, in the classroom and during extra-curricular activities.
We feel very strongly about keeping the Costa Rican culture “alive” in our school which has such a rich diversity of students. We know how important it is to be able to give a true cultural experience to each of our students while still valuing the differences in all of us. |
